변속기 내연기관에서 발생된 동력을 자동차의 운전조건에 따라 토크 및 주행속도를 증감시키는 역할을 하는 장치를 변속기라고 합니다.

토크 컨버터 토크 컨버터는 엔진의 동력을 변속기로 전달하는 동력전달 기구로써 자동변속기에서 클러치 조작 없이 부드러운 변속을 가능하게 합니다.

토크 컨버터는 속도비에 따라 엔진의 토크를 증배시키고, 록업 클러치의 직결을 통해 연비를 향상 시키며, 댐퍼 장착을 통해 엔진의 진동을 흡수하는 기능을 가지고 있습니다.
